 Objective:

• Students will understand the process of planting and growth.

• Students will be able to identify the key factors necessary for a plant to grow.

 Materials:

• The poem "Planting" by Dick Wilmes.

• Pictures of different types of plants and their growth stages.

• A small pot of soil, a seed, and water for demonstration.

• Procedure:

 Introduction:

• Begin by asking students if they have ever planted a seed or helped a plant grow.

• Show them a picture of a plant and ask them to describe what they see.

• Introduce the poem "Planting" by Dick Wilmes and read it aloud to the class.



 Activity:

• After reading the poem, ask students to identify the key factors mentioned that are necessary for a plant to grow (e.g., soil, water, sunlight).

• Show them pictures of different types of plants and their growth stages, and ask them to identify which stage each picture represents.

• Demonstrate how to plant a seed by filling a small pot with soil, planting the seed, and watering it.

• Ask students to write or draw about their own experiences with planting or watching plants grow.

 Closure:

• Ask students to share what they learned about planting and growth.

• Emphasize the importance of taking care of plants by providing them with the necessary resources for growth.
