Haryana CM raises retirement age from 58 to 60 yearsThe Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hoodaannounced a bonanza for the state government’s employees which includes raising the retirement age from 58 to 60 years, 25 per cent hike in Dearness Allowance, full pension after 20 years service, and various other benefits.After presiding over the meeting with representatives of the Haryana Karamchari Mahasangh and Sarv Karamchari Sangh in Chandigarh yesterday, Hooda said that after 58 years of service, the employee will be asked to give his option whether he wanted to continue his service or seek retirement. Now onwards full pension will be allowed on completion of 20 years of service instead of 28 years of service. This will be effective with prospective effect from the date of notification.Also,25 per cent increase in the allowances on DA becoming 50 per cent and 50 per cent increase in allowances on DA becoming 100 per cent, will be implemented.It was also decided at the meeting that if a person working on adhoc, daily wage or contract basis, including the persons working on contract basis through a service provider, dies in harness, the family ofthe employee will be granted an ex-gratia of Rs 2.5 lakh.Mr. Hooda said that the state government has also decided in principle to end the contract system. Some employees are facing problems on account of non- availability of confirmed posts. In this direction, all temporary posts would be declared permanent posts.
